Racer Families,

We are hosting the Northbrook Dolphins tomorrow, Tuesday, July 10th. Please arrive between 4:30-4:45pm and be ready to warm up at 5pm. Northbrook is a tough team and we can definitely give them a run for their money.

Also, we are watching Finding Dory after morning practice in the clubhouse, so bring a lunch or money to purchase snacks. I would like to ask that if you stay to watch the movie, please try to clean up as much as you can when the movie ends.

Weather:
Weather looks good to get our meet in tomorrow.The last 2 days have been rather lovely. I think tomorrow that changes a bit. It will hopefully not be as hot as our previous home meet a few weeks ago, but make sure to hydrate just the same.

Parking:
Parking is going to be tight. If you live in the area and can either walk or carpool, those options are highly recommended. We let our visiting team park in our parking lot. We NO LONGER are able to park on the main part of the soccer field. The Falls River HOA is no longer allowing us to park there. We will need to park on the street wherever possible (without obstructing the townhomes on Southwalk). The other option is to drop off your items and swimmers and park at the Falls River Shopping Center and walk to the pool.

Concessions:
Please consider purchasing Marco’s pizza (cheese or pepperoni for $2 a slice) or Chick-Fil-A sandwiches ($5 each) from our snack bar as part of our swim team fundraising efforts. Kona Ice will also be in the parking lot.

Set up at the Pool/Seating:
Our team generally sets up on the far side of the pool (closest to the playground) so that our visitors can set up on the side of the pool near the bathrooms. Please bring folding chairs, as there are usually not enough seats to accommodate everyone at the lap lane pool. It is important to remind the younger swimmers that the slide pool and playground are closed to Racers swim team members. Kid pushers should not have to go on a search to locate their swimmers.

Volunteers:
If you are assigned to work this meet, please check in upon arrival with our Volunteer Coordinator, Beth Sciaudone on the covered porch when you arrive. There will be a meeting for timers, place judges, stroke and turn judges and TSA Reps at 5:40pm on the covered porch.

After the Meet:
If we are able to, we will meet at Bruster’s Ice Cream after the meet is over if we can get in before 10pm. If plans change, an announcement will be made toward the end of the meet.

We are nearing the end of our swim season. I will be sending out info about the banquet after tomorrow’s meet. If you have taken some photos of swimmers or practice this season and would like to share, please email them to Tami Oden as soon as possible. She has graciously agreed to put together the slide show again this year.

Lastly, if you are still considering putting your swimmer in the North Raleigh Champs meet for this Sunday (7/15), please fill out the waiver and return to Coach Shawn or give to the Front Gate Attendant by tomorrow.
